Here we go!

Inspired by my friend Susan and techno-guru Alan November, I have started a blog. Hopefully, it will be a forum for school librarians and other information sharing people. How exciting to share thoughts, ideas, questions and even frustrations in this manner--a place for us to be honest about what we do and why we do it. My first thought is about getting teachers on board with what librarians can do for them and their students. How can I help the teachers see the value in what I do? With only one of me and 40+ of them, I sometimes feel I am losing the battle. Specifically, I want them to see how a semi-flexible schedule will be more beneficial to their students than a fixed schedule. I have to keep thinking...
